Juice: Electricity for Pleasure and Pain by Uncle Abdul
As an electrical engineer I find Juice an excellant resource in the field of the erotic use of electricity. Not only are the principles included accurate and applicable, but they are presented in a way that is both humerous and highly understandable by even a reader who had trouble with electricity in their high school physics. Having also checked out the other books in the field, Juice is the only one I've seen that presents the material this well. I also have to compliment the author on his commitment to safety in the erotic use of electricity. This cannot be more emphasized than he has done in his book.

A Defense of Masochism by Anita Phillips
With wit, grace, and theoretical rigor, Phillips ventures into the black vinyl depths of masochism and reclaims it. In Phillips's view, the very concept of masochism has been misunderstood for some years now, stripped of import and culturally defused in a way that benefits no one. Her ``project,'' as she defines it, means rescuing masochism from - its identity as a sickness, as something pathological, and setting it back into the context of diverse human experience and artistic creativity.''

Bound to Be Free: The Sm Experience by Charles Moser, J. J. Madeson
Of the vast array of human sexual behaviors and practices, sadomasochism (SM) is probably the least understood and, thus, the most feared among the general public. Moser and Madeson here provide perhaps the first intelligent, fully informed, fact-based discussion of what SM is, what it means to its practitioners, how it is practiced, and the structure of its subculture in contemporary American society. Moser, a practicing psychotherapist and counselor, provides the clinical approach taken in the first few chapters. Madeson, a 15-year participant in the SM subculture, provides the practical viewpoint taken in the remaining three quarters of the book. Together, they provide a perspective that is uniquely accurate, sensitive, and fair in its depiction and interpretation of erotic sadomasochism. Highly recommended for academic and special human sexuality collections; small and medium-size public libraries should consider if they have strong popular sex collections.

S&M: Studies in Dominance & Submission by Thomas S. Weinberg
This is a good book for anyone who is curious about the art of S&M. It is written in sections covering everything from simple knots and restraints to branding, cutting and leather clubs. It is a very well written book and covers alot of ground. If you are looking for answers to why you have always thought rope or leather were exciting, this is the book for you. If you are looking for naughty stories, pick something else. Rather heavy reading at points, but overall - very informative.
